“.. C.U.F.C in Batam..”

ok this is a long overdue post.. A recap of the Batam trip..

27th December 2008 became the first mass outing of the Coastal United Family club. We were all off to Batam for a quick getaway, and to play two friendly matches with local side PT Takamori Indonesia.

We cleared Harbour Bay, Batam, customs at around 9:30-ish.. I think.. and immediately we were ushered to the two waiting coaches. First stop was the friendly keropok shop. and then the friendly kueh lapis factory. quickie stops lah if you ask me.. just to pass time cuz check in at the hotel was at 12:30-1.

Hehe.. the Alpha200 looks a little small in my hands yah?. That’s because it is.. it’s smaller then Diaz.. took a while to get used to, would be nice with a Vertical Grip. Then again i got big chubby fingers..

We also made a stop at the Jembatan Barelang (Barelang Bridge). Jembatan Barelang is a chain of 6 bridges of various types that connect the islands of Batam, Rempang and Galang, thus it’s name. To be specific we hopped off the coaches at the Tengku Fisabilillah Bridge.

ahh.. uhm.. ok let me sort this one out.. Hatta (squatting at the bottom) Second row left to right : Haikel, Alfian, Syadhili, Abg Fendi.  Lunch was next. We filled up a whole floor of the restaurant.. lol .. AND some…. Check in at the Hotel was also a tad messy.

 We settled the rooms by around 2:00 in the afternoon. Players and families retired to their respective rooms to change and freshen up. Rally point in the lobby for the soccer match at 4.

“.. well past expired..”

Two days… Two busloads (85 people).. 25 rooms (@the i-Hotel).. Two cameras (3 if you counted the video).. Two teams … two soccer matches (we lost the first and drew the second)… ONE BIG FAMILY OUTING..

That was what last weekend was about.. something put together at the very last minute (by regular standards).. Both Reets and I are now expired… wayy well past expired… Lucky Reets is on leave today.. we took about 8 gigs plus of pictures.. after sorting out the undesirables we are left with about 6 gb.  Reets was like a human dynamo. She was everywhere, organising the check ins.. taking pictures.. and keeping everything together..much props to her for that. Now comes the post processing..urgh…

on another note.. something I’m quite proud of.. even though it’s nothing to crow about.. i got the calendars printed.. and .. and yeah pretty proud of it..

".. Holiday Season.."

yet another week has passed, and I’ve YET to put them reviews up (c’mon we all know it’s never gonna happen now). Would like to wish all my Muslim brothers and sisters a Happy Eid Ul-Adha.. Hope you guys had a fruitfull holiday. *mind blank*

It was hot ..I was hot .. and It was really stuffy.. Thursday was more less hot(“more less hot” ???!!!.. wah-lau engrish down the drain man..chia lat).. less stuffy.. I wasn’t sweating like a horse .. oh no i wasn’t.. quite pleasent…
and yeah Happy Birthday Momma-to-be (you know who you are).

I guess that’s it for today.. Leaving for Karimun tomorrow morning for a short field trip. Maybe can get good pictures there. other then that .. to the rest of the world (If anyone stumbles across this that is) MERRY CHRISTMAS .. and yeah yadda yadda yadda..
