Alright.. keeping my promise of at least having some form of update. Compounded by the fact that me and the missus watched Julie vs Julia over the week.. or was it over the weekEND? I can’t remember.. We enjoyed the movie thorou*@#$goughly (SPELL CHECK!!). Some semblence of our old routine is returning. We are watching movies again (YAY!).. albeit not at the theatre.. but nonetheless .. we enjoyed the movies and each other’s company. ..
I finally got to watch The Lost Room, a sci-fi miniseries from 2006. I’d been looking for this one for quite a while and was understandably over the moon when i finally got my hands on em. Reets sat in watching and she was also hooked.. we went through the whole series (6 hours) in one sitting. If Reets enjoyed it, it must be REALLY good enough cuz Reets doesn’t usually watch Sci-fi stuff.
This past week we also watched UP.. which i found very amusing, didn’t expect it to be the way it was.. but yeah good animation .. very good storyline..I recall us STARTING 500 days of Summer but turned it off after the first 10 minutes.. that movie was just dragging along too slowly for our liking. We started watching My Sister’s Keeper together but I had to run off for an errand so i didn’t watch all of it..
Moving back a little further, Reets and her Mom flew up to KL on the Wednesday before last (2nd December) for a wedding on that weekend. My Mom, Dad, Adik and Khai had also planned a trip up to KL that weekend, to sort of celebrate my Dad’s birthday which was on the 3rd of December. It was on and off for me for a while to actually join them for that little jaunt and a decision was made on the morning Reets left that I would not be making the drive up to Kuala Lumpur. That however changed when Adik called me out on a promise i made to join them in KL .. so … i went..
We checked in at the Crowne Plaza at almost 11-ish ..give or take about 1/2 hr. Mom had this idea that i should give Reets a surprise and drop by for a visit at her aunt’s and I though .. yeah .. good idea.. it is DAMN difficult to give that woman a surprise one.. DAMN DIFFICULT… the plan did backfire on me though. The family INSISTED I attend the wedding reception, and wasn’t dressed for the part. I wasn just dropping by to say hello and did not plan (nor pack) any form of attire befitting a wedding reception.I was in sandals, t-shirt.. and jeans.. One of her aunties said, ” Don’t worry, we’ll put you in a table tucked away out of sight so you won’t feel uncomfortable”..
I ended up sitting with the representatives of the Bride’s family.. First table.. in front.. seated just behind the VIPs.. and the VVIPs.. and the VVVIPs.. I must say though i enjoyed the whole day spent with Reets and her KL relatives. I remember that bit most for that weekend. Bought some stuff from Petaling Street.. and some essential shirts for work from the mall and Mid Valley. It was a good weekend.. met a few relatives.. made a few friends… it was cool ..
heh.. that was ‘t as hard as i thought it would be.. then i realised the only people reading this would prolly be only reets and me.. lol..so it shouldn’t be hard.. and I see now why Reets bugs me to update often..cuz one fine day.. seomwhere down the line.. we could read all this .. and laugh ..
till next time..
